CUHS Drama

The full production schedule is complete and has been posted. Please review the schedule and let me know asap of any major conflicts I may have missed.

Please note that the rehearsals originally scheduled for this Wed. 1/6 have been moved to Thur. 1/7. Taking the Wed. spot will be Anna and Cesar for “How To Raise A Child”.

I will probably indicate other issues regarding the schedule in the next couple days as they pop in my head.

Note: The “Upcoming” bar on the right side of this page uses your computer clock to determine what day it is, so if your computer clock is on the wrong day, then the “Upcoming” events will be messed up.

Again, you all did a great job, thanks so much. As you can see on the list, we still have some roles in group numbers to fill, etc., so there will be some doubling of roles in  the ensemble.

As you can see on the calendar, we will be having a production kick-off meeting with the full cast on Monday, December 14th at 6pm in the cafeteria. We will have much more information regarding cast, schedule, etc. at that meeting.

On behalf of the production staff, congratulations to you all and get ready for a high energy, challenging journey in the next several months.

Thanks to all who auditioned for Seussical. You all did a great job. We will post the casting this week. In the meantime, the table reading scheduled for Tue. Dec. 8 has been postponed until further notice.

Auditions for the CUHS Drama spring production of “Seussical” are open to all high school and middle school students. All high school students trying out will be in the production. All featured roles will be filled by high school students. Production dates are the weekends of March 19 and March 26.

Audition Dates:

Attend one of the two sessions:

Saturday, December 5, 2009 – 1:00 pm in the Cafeteria

Sunday, December 6, 2009 – 10:00 am in the Cafeteria

Wear loose clothing and come prepared to dance and sing. Those auditioning for featured roles, be prepared to sing solo and read a scene. High school students not trying out for a featured role, and all middle school students will be finished with the audition after the initial group singing and dancing (one to two hours).

The first of several improv/acting training sessions for all those interested in participating in CUHS Drama will be on Tuesday, November 10 at 6pm in the cafeteria. The session with Kirk will include improv and movement skills, and various other exercises to improve stage skills. The choice for the spring production will also be introduced.

The 2010 performance dates have been set, so mark them on your calendar. They are:
